The Ministry of Ecological Transition approved with Directorial Decree n. 47 of 9 August 2021 the “Guidelines on the classification of waste” referred to the resolution of the Council of the National System for Environmental Protection (SNPA) of 18 May 2021.
The new SNPA Guidelines follow the previous ones issued in November 2019, introducing some changes and additions made necessary also following the adoption of Legislative Decree 116/2020 which inserted, in art. 184 paragraph 5, the reference to the SNPA Waste Classification Guidelines, subject to the approval of the MITE.
The new SNPA guidelines therefore become the regulatory reference for the classification of waste.
